Do you ever wonder what people did to entertain themselves before the time of internet? Can you imagine a work place without internet? not being able to check your e-mail? how will you survive. I may not know how people entertained themselves the old fashion way (maybe everyone just did work), but here are some things you can do without a computer and internet. And for those without internet access - please do give any additional suggestions.
12. Entertain yourself the old fashion way.
a. Write a letter to your friends. No, I don't mean e-mail, but real letters, that you will have to out a stamp on it, and drop it in the mail box. In addition, your friends will be so surprised they will love you. (not to mention, you will look like you are working really hard drafting a document) Hint: write the "Dear ___" last, so it is not so obvious you are writing a letter.
b. Sodoku - be careful this can be addictive
c. With a little help of modern technology - text message - okay, so don't do everything the old fashion way.
d. Drink water non-stop, so you will keep on having to go the bathroom. (This will kill a lot more time than you realize - not to mention all the added time for trips to the water fountain)
e. Make you weekly grocery shopping list
f. Listen to music - with you cool new ipod, but a cassette player would do
g. Write your manifesto
h. Work on your penmanship
i. Day dream or stare at the wall
j. Practice how to take a nap while looking like you are reading intensely (my brother is very good at this)

wow, this give some good ideas - I was wondering what i would do without a computer. I am so use to using a computer all the time that actually taking a pen and paper to write something feels wierd.
sudoku - I love it - it is so addictive!
Is sudoku really that addictive? I have never played it, what is it all about?
Still can't image how ppl can survive without internet at work.... I appreciate all your great tips to help ppl kill time~
you forgot books on tape! those are great, and you feel like you are learning something at the same time!
I am not so sure about books on tapes, that seems to stand out too much, since it requires you taking out an earphone
